Moora Paw immigrated from Thailand to Canada in 2014 to complete her Bachelor of Arts at the University of Victoria. Prior to returning to school to pursue her legal education, she worked with a local homeless shelter where she developed a deeper understanding of the systemic discrimination and racism experienced by Indigenous peoples in Canada. This experience shaped her commitment to legal advocacy and informed her decision to pursue both a Juris Doctor (JD) in common law and a Juris Indigenarum Doctor (JID) at the University of Victoria.

As a first-generation immigrant and the first Karen (K’nyaw) person to attend law school in Canada, Moora approaches her work with a strong sense of responsibility and care. She is committed to helping foster legal spaces that are respectful, inclusive, and responsive to the needs of those they serve.

In spare time, she enjoys cooking, hiking, thrifting and watching countless episodes of The Office.
