Gordon M. Lidstone

Gordon M. Lidstone, with 25 years of practice, is the senior family law practitioner at Pearlman Lindholm. Mr. Lidstone graduated from the Faculty of Science of the University of Victoria (B.A.) (1975), and then completed M.A. course requirements at the University of Victoria, before graduating from the Faculty of Law of the University of Saskatchewan (LL.B.) (1981). He was called to the British Columbia Bar in 1982 and commenced practice as an associate of Pearlman Lindholm after articling with the firm.

Mr. Lidstone’s practice is confined to family law and personal injury law. He has successfully argued before the Provincial Court of British Columbia, the Supreme Court of British Columbia, the British Columbia Court of Appeal and the B.C. Human Rights Tribunal. His Chambers practice has been extensive and Mr. Lidstone has also represented clients at numerous mediations.

Mr. Lidstone is the co-chair of the Victoria Collaborative Family Law Group, chair of the Collaborative Family Law Practice Committee and has extensive Collaborative Law training (successful negotiation of family law issues out of Court using interest based four-way meetings between lawyers and spouses) and has successfully collaborated numerous settlements. Mr. Lidstone’s professional goal at this time is to promote and expand his practice of family law dispute resolution through Collaborative Law.
